WARNINGS: Suicide
Silent screams
Cries for help that can’t be heard
Pain and sorrow and grief
Expressed without a word
Pleas can be ignored
So can a knife
The only time someone listens is when you take your own life
All I needed was a hug
To be told it was okay
But it doesn’t matter anymore
I’m going to die today
I couldn’t bear the pain
I broke everything I touched
I hope someone hears me now
It was all just too much.

So. I read this and nearly cried, aha. It's... very familiar to me. A younger me, though.
I especially like how well the last three lines go together.
